Offering individualized academic tutoring and homework support to elementary students in Bend, Sisters, and Redmond, Oregon.

My goal is to help your student feel confident and competent in the classroom, even when they encounter something that challenges them.

Tutoring Services:

Private Tutoring:

1 hour long private sessions, ideal for students who would benefit from one on one support in a specific subject or with completing their homework.

These sessions are structured according to each student’s needs. This could look like:

A full hour of supplemental literacy support, in reading/writing, using a phonics-based approach. Students will be using learning materials and books that I provide.

A full hour of homework help, focusing on completing current assignments, catching up on missed classwork, and developing organizational strategies and study habits.

Or a split session, 30 minutes of homework help and 30 minutes of supplemental support

Semi-Private Tutoring:
(2 Students Max)

1 hour long semi-private sessions. Students work individually on their own material and do not collaborate with each other during these sessions.

This is ideal for students who are capable of working more independently. I do not recommend semi-private sessions for pre-reading students or students younger than first grade.

I split my time between each student equally, checking in and offering support when needed. This can be a good fit for siblings or friends, as long as students are able to maintain focus when they’re working in the same environment*.

Students enrolled in semi-private sessions do not need to be working on the same subject material or be in the same grade level.

*Note: All students enrolled in semi-private tutoring will need to participate in a trial session before I can confirm that semi-private tutoring will be an appropriate option for their learning needs.

Meet your tutor: Lily Kun

While school was always an environment where I personally thrived, I recognized early on that many children unfortunately do not have that experience. I was inspired to help learners build the skillsets they need to feel comfortable in the classroom. I seek to provide a compassionate learning environment where all students feel heard, supported, and are not afraid to be seen struggling.

I earned my bachelors degree in history with a focus in education from Montana State University in 2022. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students aged preschool through high school in a variety of academic environments, including as an assistant classroom teacher and as an academic tutor. I specialize in helping students with literacy using a phonics-based approach to reading.

Learning new things can feel like taking a big risk! Extracurricular tutoring is a great way to help children practice this lifelong skill so that they feel ready to tackle new challenges at school and beyond.

Scheduling and Availability: As a baseline, I recommend twice weekly sessions for most students. Other options are also available and can be discussed during your student's consultation.

If your student is in a homework help program, please make sure they come to tutoring with any materials, books, or devices they will need to complete their homework. If they are in a supplemental program, all course work will be provided.

Rates: Rates are determined based on each student’s individualized program and are on a sliding scale based on students’ needs and the session structure. Please contact for more information.

Cancellation Policy: Life happens! I offer a full refund for sessions that are cancelled at least 72 hours in advance. I offer make up credits to sessions that are cancelled less than 72 hours in advance and up to 3 hours before the session is scheduled to begin. If your child is sick, please keep them home! Unfortunately, I cannot offer refunds or make ups for no-shows to previously scheduled sessions if I am not notified at least 3 hours in advance, I appreciate your understanding.

Pick Up Policy: Due to my schedule, there will be nobody available to supervise students after their allotted hour of tutoring. Please make arrangements to pick up your child promptly after their session is complete.
